Memories of warm Summer days are welcome on cool, damp Autumn days. The pastel pinks of wild Dog Roses Rosa canina scrambling over a field hedge are certainly a sign of Summer for me. I love the gentle pinks in this photo of the wild roses my son took when we were out on one of our Summer walks this year.
Do take a look at what soft pastel colours have inspired others this week in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge.

Wild Roses! Nice to know that wild roses do exist! Here in India we have to plant them and water them 24×7… This post of yours made me think of Googling about origin of roses… Thank you Peggy, TC! Keep smiling 🙂
Oh we are so lucky to have wild roses growing all over in our area – in the woods and along the field edges. They are glorious when they flower in Summer! I love them! Their bright red rosehip fruits are lovely in Autumn too. I can imagine that roses would need a lot of caring for in your part of India with it being so hot! Glad I inspired you Sindhu 🙂
such amazing introduction and the color theme!!
Thank you. I don’t often take shots of pastel colours – this one is by one of our sons!
Such a wonderful entry for this week’s challenge. Thanks for playing 🙂
Thanks Cee 🙂 It was fun finding just the right colour … I have just been enjoying other people’s entries for this challenge too 🙂
